Having difficulty assessing your child’s current writing? One of our trained writing instructors can help! We will review the following aspects: organization, content, style, and grammar. You will receive a written evaluation along with a virtual meeting to make sure you understand your child’s writing strengths and weaknesses.

What is a writing assessment?
Your child will submit a written composition between one and three paragraphs in length. One of our trained instructors will assess your child’s writing and provide feedback in four areas: organization, content, style, and grammar. We will identify both strengths and weaknesses of your child’s writing and make suggestions for ongoing writing instruction and practice.
What age student should complete an assessment?
Students in grades 5-12 can benefit from having an assessment. Younger students often do not have foundational skills to benefit from a formal writing assessment.
If my child is enrolled in a class with TWJ, do they still need to complete an assessment?
No, at this time it is not required. In this case, an assessment would be optional but may be beneficial for both parent and instructor.
