Adult Handbook Training Seminar
January 18th 8:30-2:30 PST (11:30-5:30 EST)
5 hours of instruction with two-15 minute breaks and 30 minutes for lunch
This instruction will be applicable to adults that recognize the need to provide quality writing instruction for their students. Instructors may use these materials as their stand-alone curriculum, or they may blend the writing and literature study processes with any other language arts curriculum.
This seminar will cover these elements:
the basic 4-step writing process taught in the TWJ Writing Foundations Handbook, and used in all of our TWJ classes
the multi-paragraph writing process taught in our middle and high school level classes
the elements of the Literature Guide used by all TWJ instructors
This seminar is hosted online in a classroom type setting via Zoom. Kris Cordell, owner and founder, will provide instruction. Join us to learn about the tried-and-true methods used by TWJ successfully over the past 20 years to teach students to compose skillfully written academic responses.

Materials Needed: The TWJ Bundle (the TWJ Writing Foundations Handbook, the TWJ Student Lesson Guide, and the TWJ Blending Literature with Writing Guide) COST: $49.95 (*we strongly recommend printing the TWJ handbooks and guides to take notes and easily follow instructions)

Kris is the founder, owner, and leader of The Write Journey. She is grateful for the amazing team of instructors that work with her to bring quality writing instruction to students nationwide. Yes, life is a journey, and Kris’s journey has allowed her to enjoy 39+ years of marriage to her husband, Tom (who happens to do an amazing job managing our HR and bookkeeping); 35+ years of being a proud parent of their four children (and now three “perfect” grandchildren); and 20+ years of working out her vision to bring quality writing instruction to both children and adults.
Kris is passionate about IDEAS, and she feels passionate about encouraging others to share their ideas. This is why she has created a business that encourages EVERYONE to share their ideas in lively discussions and writing. As The Write Journey continues to pursue their vision to develop quality writers through relational education, excellent literature will continue to be a part of this process. Year after year, Kris and her team of instructors work to formulate unique and practical approaches to teaching writing with the goal of bringing quality education back to our homes and schools.
