Welcome to a community of like-minded people. We at The Write Journey are excited about our vision to partner with families around the US (and even the world) as we come together on this journey of living life with the goal of embracing learning. Many people in this community are homeschooling their children, and others have chosen to send their children to traditional school for their formal education. But we all are embracing the call to create a learning environment in our homes. That’s what this community is about.
Some families are just getting started on this journey. Perhaps your precious little ones are still toddling about and you are aware of how much even they are learning every day. Or perhaps you are nearing the end of a season in your parenting journey and your “little ones” are nearly all launched: upward and onward. It’s frightening and exciting all at the same time, regardless of the season. We are in this together, and we need connection with friends who understand many of the challenges and blessings that come with taking on the role as primary educators for our children seriously. Perhaps more now than ever, parents are recognizing they can’t simply expect the “trained experts” to “teach” their children facts and call that a quality education. Parents everywhere are waking up to the fact that education is learning, and learning isn’t something we can compartmentalize: IT IS A LIFESTYLE! That may feel freeing to you, or it may feel numbing. Either way, you are not alone.
Here at The Write Journey we are blessed with an amazing variety of team members with varied family and work experiences, educational journeys, passions, and ideas. And we love connecting with students and their parents . . . with you. Connections come in many forms these days, and we’re going to do our best to find all the ways to connect with you and provide a platform for you to connect with each other. This is the beginning of something new. Something amazing. Something beautiful. Community. We will enjoy exploring life and learning together. We will be gracious and kind with one another. We will bring the best that we have to offer to this community. I know there is still so much beauty in people, and I can’t wait to provide a platform for us to share our beauty with each other. And in the process, we will encourage each other on our journey of learning.
